The Teddy
Bear I

Coming up with the perfect birthday gift for Harry had
been a complicated task. Draco had been in and out of every store in Diagon
Alley before he saw a child sitting in the sun, a teddy in her arms. Suddenly,
Draco remembered Harry’s story about how he’d never had a teddy
bear.
It had taken a while to find the perfect one,
but Draco had managed. Fluffy, brown and with sad eyes, it looked just
perfect.
Harry opened his present and his mouth fell open. “Thank
you, Draco,” he said with a huge smile.
Draco had never felt better.

Hermione's Letter

‘Hermione Granger
Bedroom on the second floor’
Hermione’s
eyebrows rose. That was certainly a funny way to write an address. She
opened the letter curiously and pulled the paper out. Or parchment, rather
– it wasn’t regular paper. Her mouth fell open as she read
the content. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?
Magic?
Her father had always told her that it was the stuff of
fairytales. Perhaps this was a joke, a prank. But it was a very well-done
prank in that case. It was even signed by someone – Minerva McGonagall.
Wide-eyed, Hermione ran down the stairs to her mother.

Three Little Words

Three little words. There was one set of words that
made him smile; this set made his world crumble.
“I
have cancer.”
Harry hadn’t even known Wizards could get cancer.
What a cruel way to find out.
His lover stood before him looking suddenly small and frail.
Harry held out his arms and took Draco in. Tucking Draco’s head
underneath his chin, Harry cursed the fates and wondered when they would
stop throwing hell at them. He stroked Draco’s hair as he fought
back tears and then he mumbled the other three words; the good three words.
“I love you.”
